2014 was not a great year for bollywood like 2013. Never the less 2014 more than good movies it gave u some ribticlking performance which was not expected from not a so big stars. To start with we will look after TOP 3 from different categories of the year
Best Film:
3) PK- PK was frankly the most hyped movie of the year, and this movie became the highest grossing film of bollywood. PK was good movie but not like earlier raju hirani's stuff, movie was better than many crapy movies of 2014, but not a class which raju and aamir khan are know for.
PK was highly inspired by OH MY GOD, and to an extent KOI Mil Gaya, but movie was great in first half, especially hey bhagwan song.
Movie belonged to Aamir Khan and Anushkha Sharma, i felt movie could have been better in 2nd half
PK So is in 3rd movie of the year for me
2) 2 States:
2nd best film of the year, Dharma Productions and UTV Motion Pictures came with this idea of adoptation of the most successful book of this generation 2 States, Real story of Chetan bhagat,
Somewhere this movie was very simple, interesting and lovable thanks to the lead actors of the movie.
Alia was the soul of film and Arjun was Heart of the movie, both performed brillantly infact best performances of their carrier, Arjun kapoor was too simple and Alia was too cute, that was the sucessfull mantra which made movie so likeable, the stuggle of different culture in India which lovers go through, in fact in this process it is true we often forget to respect the emotions of parents
Movie belonged to Arjun and Alia, yes also to Music Shankar-Ehsaan and Loy
1) Haider:
Haider will be know for Hamlet but i will know haider for only Shahid Kapoor, Kashmir Backdrop terriorism, all this combination makes movie one of the epic in Indian Cinema,Stuggle of people living in Kashmir and fight of common people with great music makes movie a quiet good affair,
I loved acting of most talented actress tabu, tabu and shahid were excellent in movie,both made up this movie so good everyone watching the movie in screen were hardly focusing on beautiful kashmir valley
This movie should be movie of the year along with Shahid for Best Actor and Tabu to best actreess as support
Other movies which i liked was Dedh Ishqiya, holdiay and Mardani

2) Arjun Kapoor/Alia Bhat- 2 States/Highway
3) Randeep Hooda/Priyanka- Highway/Mary Kom
